OHIO COUNTY, W. Va. (KDKA) – Police are investigating after two people were killed in an early Monday morning accident in West Virginia.

According to Ohio County officials, the accident happened on Interstate 70 near the Dallas Pike exit.

Two women in a car driving the wrong way were killed when then collided with a tractor-trailer.

Their names have not been released at this time.

The highway was shut down for hours while crews cleaned up the scene, but it has since reopened.
