1 Dead After Early-Morning Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man was killed in an early-morning shooting in the East Hills Sunday.

It started around 3 a.m. in the 2200-block of Wilner Drive.

The man was 21-year-old Demaun Kenny of Duquesne, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner.

Police say security guards at an East Hills office building initially reported a shooting just after 3 a.m. saying that a few rounds had been shot at the building.

About an hour later, just after 4 a.m., while police were responding to the scene, they heard more gunshots nearby in the area of East Hills Drive.

Police eventually wound up at a house in the 2200-block of East Hills Drive, where they found Kenny on the kitchen floor.

He was shot multiple times with a semi-automatic pistol, police say.

Paramedics were called, but Kenny died before he could be transported.

Kenny was also an aspiring Pittsburgh rapper, who performed under the name "Tefflon."

Police are asking anyone with information to call the homicide squad at 412-323-7161.
