PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — Thousands will be hitting the roads for Thanksgiving to see family or go shopping for Black Friday.

Unfortunately,  some of those people might drink before they get behind the wheel of their cars, causing a hazard for themselves and others.

This holiday season though, DUI checkpoints will be more numerous than in the past.

KDKA AM’s Larry and John talk to Kathy Tress with the PA DUI Taskforce about what law enforcement is doing to stop drunk drivers and talks about the penalties that might come about when caught.
