Suspect Sought In Armed Robbery At Castle Shannon Subway

CASTLE SHANNON (KDKA) — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant in Castle Shannon.

The robbery happened at the restaurant in the 4100-block of Library Road around 3 p.m.

According to police, the suspect waited until the customers had left before going into the store.

Police say he went behind the counter and ordered an employee to open the cash register.

Police describe the suspect as being at least six-feet tall. He was wearing a black hat, a large hooded sweatshirt, a face mask, black gloves and sunglasses or goggles.

He was also carrying a black handgun.

Police say he ran north across the parking lot and then off toward Rockwood Avenue.
