Carrick Apartment Complex Evacuated After Man Reportedly Damages Gas Line

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- It came in as a domestic disturbance call, but ended with the evacuation of an entire apartment building in Carrick on Monday evening.

Pittsburgh police on the scene tell KDKA, a man damaged a gas line inside the eight-unit complex in the 2400-block of Brownsville Road.

Tenants were evacuated for a short time while the gas company repaired the break.

The suspect was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Officers would not comment on possible criminal charges.
