PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A New Jersey man is in jail after allegedly trying to transport $20,000 worth of heroin to Pittsburgh.

Police say 33-year-old Rasheed McKenith of Newark, N.J. was arrested around 8 p.m. at the Greyhound Bus station downtown Tuesday.

McKenith had just arrived in Pittsburgh on an Amtrak train from Philadelphia when police conducting surveillance spotted him.

They say McKenith looked suspicious and followed him into a men’s bathroom, where he abandoned a book bag containing 2,000 stamped bags of heroin.

McKenith is in the Allegheny County Jail and faces charges of possession of heroin and intent to deliver.
