Homicide Suspect Arrested After Alleged Drug Deal

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police have arrested a man in conjunction with a New Year's Eve homicide.

Our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report that 25-year-old Dana Johnson was taken into custody after undercover officers allegedly caught him dealing drugs.

Johnson was charged in October, in the shooting death of 23-year-old Donald Russell.

He's accused of shooting Russell at a party in Arlington.

The Post-Gazette also reports that the charges were withdrawn last Friday, but police obtained another arrest warrant.

Johnson is awaiting arraignment on drug and homicide charges.
