PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan) — Bob Pompeani visits with University of Pittsburgh Athletics Director Steve Pederson.
Pederson talks about extending the rivalry with Penn State and is hopeful that it can continue beyond 2019.
At a time when most rivalries are going away, Pederson says that adding these two games are exciting for everybody.
Pederson talks about trying to schedule a reasonable non-conference slate and when the Notre Dame series is set, that will add clarity.
When asked about conference realignment, Pederson says he hopes that things will settle down.
Pederson discusses the Wisconsin opening and says that Paul Chryst never expressed a desire to be anywhere but here.
He believes that he has a tremendous coaching staff and Chryst has done a tremendous job.
Additionally, he added that the Panthers have been playing their best football at the end of the year.
