Police Search Downtown Building After Shooting Scare

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A downtown building was searched after a man threatened to kill people Wednesday afternoon.

Police say a man walked by the Mercy Behavioral Health Center at 925 Penn Avenue, threatening to shoot and kill people.

After someone called 9-1-1, police searched the building and a nearby school was put on lockdown.

Police say they didn't find a man with a gun.

They are now clearing the area.
