PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Wiz Khalifa day in Pittsburgh also turned out to be a bad one for several people who were sickened at his concert.
The rapper, who’s a Pittsburgh native, performed at CONSOL Energy Center Wednesday night.
Paramedics are now saying several people suffered heat related illnesses at the concert, not drug overdoses as previously reported.
Wiz Khalifa, has been an unabashed endorser of marijuana and wore a DOPE hat to City Hall Tuesday, when Pittsburgh City Council declared Dec. 12 “Wiz Khalifa Day.”
Councilman William Peduto said the rapper “takes every opportunity to sing the praises of Pittsburgh around the world.”
