PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - The Friday Edition of the KDKA Afternoon News was completely devoted to covering the events of the Newtown, Conn. School Tragedy. Here's what you missed:
3 p.m. Hour: Guest's include Pittsburgh Bishop David Zubik and in-studio guests Lou Gentile and Sam Rosenberg, who both have years of experience in events like these.
4 p.m. Hour: Bill continued to be joined in studio by Lou and Sam for their perspective on the events. He also talks with Rob Lang From WBAL-AM who covered a similar shooting in central Pennsylvania several years ago.
5 p.m. Hour: Bill talks with Carnegie Police Chief Jeffrey Harbin as well as Pittsburgh City Councilman Bill Peduto for their thoughts on today's events.
6 p.m. Hour: In the final Hour of the program, Bill goes live to the scene of the shooting as he talks with Jim Lokay of WCBV-TV in Boston. (Lokay is a former KDKA-TV reporter) Bill also spoke with Beau Burman from FOX-TV in Connecticut. Bill also talks with former Pittsburgh Schools Police Chief Robert Fazden on how the situation was handled.
