Father Arrested For Stealing Christmas From His Kids

UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Police say a western Pennsylvania man is in jail for literally stealing Christmas.

Authorities say 33-year-old Myron Lee Rose of Uniontown allegedly sawed a hole in the floor of his ex-girlfriend's mobile home and crawled inside, where he stuffed a sack with electronics and Christmas gifts, some of which were meant for his own young children.

Rose allegedly robbed the home on the afternoon of Dec. 8, and the woman spotted him running away with a Grinch-like sack that contained a DVD player and the gifts.

Rose is facing burglary, trespassing, theft and criminal mischief charges. He's being held in the Fayette county jail, unable to post $50,000 bond.

He's being represented by the public defender's office, which couldn't be reached after business hours.
