PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One person is in police custody after a SWAT standoff in Collier Township early Sunday morning.

Around 3:30 a.m., Collier Township Police and Allegheny County Police SWAT responded to a hostage situation at the Waterford apartments.

Police say when they arrived on scene, the suspect fired shots, but no one was injured.

The suspect was then taken into custody.

No word on the suspect’s identity or what prompted the standoff.
