PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Allegheny County homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that happened Friday night in Clairton.

Our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette say that an emergency dispatch supervisor told them the shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. in the 4700-block of Bataan Avenue.

Initial reports were that the victim had been shot in the leg, according to the newspaper.

The shooting victim’s name has not been released, yet, nor his condition.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, for medical treatment.

Police are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting
