PITTSBURG (KDKA) – Police are looking for three people accused of trying to rob a man on the side of a road in Fayette County.

Police say 26-year-old Dorian Mills was walking down Five Forks Road in Wharton Township Sunday after a fight with his girlfriend.

While walking along the road, Mills was offered a ride by a passenger in an older two-door maroon car.

After Mills declined, the car drove forward but stopped ahead, waiting for him to reach the car again.

When Mills approached, another passenger and the driver — who was holding a long rifle — exited the car and told him they wanted everything in his pockets and backpack.

Mills struggled with the suspects until they were scared off seeing his girlfriend walking down the road.

The suspects are described as two males 20-30 years old, 150 pounds, wearing dark colors and one was wearing a black ski hat. The third suspect is a woman in her 20s.

Police ask anyone with information to call Fayette County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-404-TIPS. They offer rewards of up to $1,000.
