Missing Westmoreland Co. Goat Reunited With Owner

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A missing goat in Westmoreland County has been reunited with its owner.

Earlier this week, Dave Whipkey was clearing snow off his driveway in Washington Township, when a goat head-butted him in the leg.

Whipkey took the goat in and was having a hard time finding the owner.

"Trying to find the owner has been a task until we called KDKA," Whipkey said.

This isn't the first time an animal has wandered onto Whipkey's property.

"We've had some chickens come. We don't know from where. They stay here for a while, but this goat takes the cake and he's friendly. He's definitely somebody's pet," Whipkey said.

However, the goat's owner contacted us through the KDKA-TV Facebook page. Later Friday morning, owner and goat were reunited once again.

As it turns out, the owners lived right across the street from Whipkey, thus proving that every once in a while, it's okay if your neighbor gets your goat.
