HAMPTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Three restaurants within a few miles of each other on the same stretch of road were burglarized overnight in the North Hills.

They’re all located on Route 8, and all were hit between 2 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

The first incident happened at the China Bistro, the second at Casey’s Family Restaurant and finally at Spadafora’s Bar & Restaurant in Hampton Township.

In each case, police say they believe the same two people broke in through a rear door and stole cash from the registers.

“They busted the door, they busted the alarm system, so it’s going to be expensive,” said Paul Spadafora, the owner of Spadafora’s.

The owners of China Bistro say they were there until 2 a.m., and think the burglars watched and waited until they left to break in.
