PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) – “It’s a hockey night in Pittsburgh!” Did you miss those words? What about, “Scratch my back with a hacksaw?!”

Pens announcer Mike Lange is fired up and ready for hockey now that the lockout is over. In fact, he tells KDKA-AM’s John Shumway that people give him ideas all the time for “Lange-isms.”

“I’ve been given a lot of phrases from people,” says Lange. “I used to keep a big shoe box full of them, but now I have them on a computer, and then take them under consideration.”

Lange talks about what the loss of half the season has meant to players and fans, the excitement of the return of hockey, and how he expects the Pens to do this year.
