LIGONIER (KDKA) — One person is dead after a one-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Westmoreland County.

According to emergency officials, the crash happened just after 4 p.m. at Nature Run Road just past Old Forbes Road in Ligonier.

The Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 54-year-old Lawrence Habick of Ligonier.

He was pronounced dead at the scene just after 5:30 p.m.

The Coroner’s Office says he was traveling north on Nature Run Road when his vehicle went off the road and hit several trees.

The vehicle ended up stopping against a tree on driver’s side.
