Does More Regulation Mean Less Crime?

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - President Obama has addressed the nation declaring his new proposals for tighter gun regulations.

He believes that this will help decrease violence in the country. But is there evidence to prove that fewer guns would decrease crime?

Gun rights expert and former chief economist at the United States Sentencing Commission, John R. Lott, Jr. spoke with KDKA Radio's Mike Pintek about his opposing view.

He is the author of the expanded third edition of "More Guns, Less Crime," which explains his thoughts about why removing guns isn't the only solution.
