More Snow Expected To Arrive Friday Morning

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The cold weather that has settled into the Pittsburgh area will make for a snowy end to the week.

According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Dennis Bowman, bursts of lake-effect snow will affect portions of the area through late morning on Thursday.

Then, we should see some afternoon sun, but it will be another very cold day. The high will only be near 20 degrees with wind chills hovering near zero much of the time.

Tonight, clouds will thicken ahead of the next fast-moving weather system. The overnight low will be 9 degrees.

On Friday, the snow arrives lightly by mid-morning. A general 1 to 3 inches across the area can be expected as a result.

Slightly higher amounts can be expected in the higher ridges to our southeast.

Tomorrow's high will be 23 degrees with a low of 14 degrees at night.
