Moon Twp. Woman Charged With Child Pornography And Drugs, Facing New Charges

WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP/KDKA) - A Moon Township woman awaiting trial on charges she used her adult children to help her sell drugs, and was then charged with child pornography because of images found when her phone was seized in the drug investigation, is in trouble again.

Forty-nine-year-old Pamela Smallis, now faces a preliminary hearing Tuesday on retail theft and conspiracy charges stemming from an incident Jan. 7 at the Wal-Mart in South Strabane Township.

That's when and where police say Smallis stole keys to a locked electronics counter and used them to steal nine iPads and 23 iPods valued at $9,972. Smallis allegedly handed the items to two accomplices who helped load them into a van.

Smallis' defense attorney could not immediately be reached for comment Monday.
