PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — NBC Sports Hockey and Winnipeg Jets Analyst Brian Engblom joined Starkey and Miller on Sports Radio 93.7 The FAN after spending some time watching the Penguins.

Engblom helped The Fan take a look at the team five games into this shortened season.

Engblom called the Pens a “work in progress,” but added that most teams fall into that category right now.  It’s obvious that the Pens are highly talented and Brian added that they still “scare the heck out of every team they play against before the puck drops.”

We also got Engblom’s thoughts on trade rumors surrounding Pens defenseman Simon Despres, including one that had the Pens dealing him for Minnesota winger Devin Setoguchi.
