PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A Penn Hills home caught fire Wednesday afternoon, sending flames shooting into the air.

Details are still coming in, but when fire fighters got to the house, it was fully involved.

There were also reportedly loud explosions heard during the fire.

The home was completely destroyed. The Red Cross is now assisting the family.

Fire officials are on the scene investigating.
