Ambridge Man Charged In Death Of Girlfriend's Son

AMBRIDGE (KDKA) -- Two months after his girlfriend's son died, a man from Beaver County is now being charged in connection with the boy's death.

Police say 2-year-old Dominic Neumeyer was severely abused and died from his injuries in November.

Timothy Kay, 25, of Ambridge, claimed the boy had jumped off a bedroom dresser and hit his head.

However, the Beaver County Coroner's Office says they concluded that the boy had numerous injuries, including bruising on his neck and other injuries consistent with shaking the boy and abuse.

"Not honestly surprised," said Roy Richards, a neighbor, of the arrest. "He didn't sound like too good of a father. He was always yelling and screaming at the kids. You could hear it through the walls and stuff."

Kay is facing criminal homicide charges in the boy's death.

He is being held in the Beaver County Jail without bond.
