PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a dead body was found at a Monroeville motel.

A man’s body was found Friday morning at the East Exit Motel, located on William Penn Highway near the Turnpike.

Allegheny County homicide detectives and the coroner are on the scene.

Police say two 10-week-old Pit Bull puppies were found in the motel room and that the man’s nose was gone when authorities found him. The dogs were likely taken away by Monroeville Animal Control.

A Ford Escape SUV was also towed from the scene.

Police believe the man may have died of natural causes.

No word on the victim’s identity.
