Mon, Ohio Rivers Flood Downtown

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Mon Wharf and 10th Street bypass are closed this morning after flooding.

The water level in the Monongahela River has risen and spilled over in to the wharf.

By 8 a.m. the water level was at 19.5 feet, and the Ohio River had risen to almost 22 feet, according to the National Weather Service.

A flood advisory for the rivers will continue into Saturday evening, but the water levels are expect to start falling today.
