PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A lengthy standoff in Crafton Heights ended peacefully Friday evening after authorities say they found the suspect hiding in a refrigerator.

Police say the situation started as a domestic dispute at an apartment in the 1500-block of Crucible Street.

When police showed up, the man ran inside.

Police officers set up a perimeter around the area and called in the SWAT team.

After several hours, authorities went inside the apartment and took the man into custody.

They have not released his name.

He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail. There’s no word on the charges he is facing.
