Neighbor, Detective Testify In Trial For Alleged ‘Greensburg 6′ Ringleader
GREENSBURG (KDKA) – Testimony continued Wednesday in the capital murder trial of Ricky Smyrnes.
He’s the alleged ringleader of the so-called “Greensburg 6” who are accused of torturing and murdering 30-year-old Jennifer Daugherty.
Floria Headen testified today that she was living in an apartment on Pennsylvania Avenue below where the alleged murder took place.
She told the jury it wasn’t uncommon for her to hear arguing upstairs, but on the night of the murder it was different.
She said she heard what appeared to be “body slamming.”
Also testifying today was a county detective, who said the amount of blood found in the apartment would be consistent with someone having been stabbed nine times.
He said brush marks in the blood found in the apartment someone made a haphazard effort to clean up.
