New Fan Late Night Host Trashes Recruiting Process

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- New 93-7 The Fan 10 p.m.-2 a.m. weeknight host and 937thefan.com featured columnist Colin Dunlap joined The Fan Morning Show on Thursday to offer his harsh criticism of the recruiting process in college athletics.

"I don't hate the kids because they're just buying into something that is a circus. I hate the adults that know better," Colin said. "To take time away from kids who are struggling academically... I think it sends the wrong message of entitlement- to the general students, to the general population of a town, to anybody- that these kids are above everybody else."

He added that it's rare to see the same sort of circus in a sport that doesn't put all of its best athletes through college (such as hockey).
