A.G.'s Child Predator Unit Nets Evans City Man In Online Sexting Sting

EVANS CITY (KDKA) -- A Butler County man is in jail, facing charges in connection with allegedly trying to arrange a sexual encounter with a 13-year-old girl.

The state's Attorney General's Child Predator Unit arrested 45-year-old Dennis Belles over the weekend at a motel in Cranberry Township. Officials say Belles lives in a home in Evans City with his girlfriend.

Last Friday, investigator say agents posing as a mother and 13-year-old daughter were contacted online by Belles. He allegedly wanted to arrange a meeting on Sunday at a motel.

They exchanged photos. They agents sent Belles a picture representing a female minor.

Online, authorities say Belles told the agent posing as the mother: "Very beautiful young lady. She will be well taken care of."

Later on Friday, investigators say Belles had an online conversation with the agent posing as a child.

He told her: "So, your mom tells me you are curious?"

Child's answer: "IDK LOL"

KDKA cannot report what followed. It is extremely graphic and sexual with Belles allegedly asking the girl about her sexual preferences.

She says little, but authorities say he added: "I will only do what you want, and what you let me do."

Arrangements were set to meet Sunday at a Red Roof Inn in Cranberry Township.

On Sunday, authorities say Belles sent a last-minute text message to the undercover agent posing as the mother. They agreed to meet at a second location nearby where Belles was arrested.

In the criminal complaint, police say Belles admitted to everything.
