FAIRCHANCE (KDKA) – A family in Fayette County was forced out of their home by a fire Tuesday night.

According to officials at the scene, the fire broke out at a home on George’s Fairchance Road in Fairchance around 9 p.m.

The fire is believed to have started in the basement, but the cause is unknown.

The Red Cross is currently helping the family of two adults and four children.
