2 Dead Following Indiana Co. Fire, 2 More Hospitalized

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A child and a woman are dead after a fire broke out in Indiana County.

The fire started around midnight at a mobile home on Route 286 in Young Township.

The Indiana County Coroner identified the victims as 9-year-old Michael Collier and 50-year-old Vicki Milliron of Claridge.

The boy's mother, Teresa Firek, was working at the Clarksburg Valley Inn when the fire happened.

Firek's other son, Dominic, and her boyfriend, 27-year-old Brian Milliron, who is also Vicki's son, were also home at the time of the fire.

Dominic and Brian survived the fire, but were flown to UPMC Mercy Hospital with severe burns.

Firefighters received the call just before midnight, but by the time they arrived at the home, it was engulfed in flames. Once on scene, firefighters found Milliron's body outside the home, however they did not discover Collier until several hours later amongst the rubble.

Officials say eight fire companies responded to the home.

Now people at the Clarksburg Valley Inn are trying to raise money for the family. Firek and her family lost everything in the blaze they say and are accepting donations.

Police are investigating what sparked the blaze.

Milliron and Collier's deaths have been ruled accidental.
