PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) — ROOT Sports Penguins analyst Jay Caufield joined The Fan Morning Show today to look forward to tonight’s Flyers vs Penguins showdown at Consol Energy Center.

He explained the Penguins not settling on a left winger for Evgeni Malkin and James Neal might keep those two from getting into a rhythm.

“It’s something that takes a toll,” Caufield said. “They’re not developing chemistry. It’s a term that’s used a lot, but it’s very important.”

He said that he feels the Penguins are doing a great job of maintaining momentum, which he sees as crucial in this shortened season.

All that and more can be heard in the interview here:
