Tocchet: "I Didn't Like Cooke For A Lot Of Years"

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Andrew is joined by Flyers commentator and former Penguin Rick Tocchet who remembers back to 1992 when he was traded from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh.

Tocchet feels privileged to have played with both Mario Lemieux and Wayne Grezky.

Losing Pronger, Carle, and Jagr has hurt this Flyers team. Injuries to Hartnell and Briere have contributed to the slow start. Max Talbot "is a great glue guy, but they need some goals from him," according to Tocchet.

Bryzgalov is able to bounce back better this year and the net minder has a better relationship with the media.

The Cooke and Karlsson incident is just an unfortunate circumstance that is part of the game. Cheap shots without fights to remedy the situation frustrate Tocchet. Another fight is not necessary to resolve this situation with the Senators.

It would have to be the right spot at the right time, but Tocchet is interested in getting back into coaching at some point. He is having fun doing the TV now though.
