PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Snow showers are moving through the region today, and some of those could cause white-out conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement until this afternoon for the snow.

Visibilities could be near zero in the most intense bands of snow, and roads could become snowy and slippery.

They’re advising people to be careful out on the roads.

Meteorologist Dennis Bowman says we can expect the on again, off again showers through the afternoon, and then to taper off tonight.
