Errey Not Worried About Pens' Defense

PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN)--ROOT Sports' Penguins color analyst Bob Errey joined the Fan Morning Show on Monday to talk about the team as they prepare to host the Lightning tonight.

Bob tells the guys that it was an exciting game on Saturday night, and he is not concerned with the Penguins right now because of how the offense is clicking. Sure, he would like them to be a little bit more defensively structured, but getting Evgeni Malkin back will only help.

Malkin's game is to play in the offensive zone. When he is on the ice, the other team is forced to play defense against him.

The Pens do have depth on the blue line. But, Bob would like to see a good mix of offensive and defensive defensemen paired together. But, the difficulty is having to mix up a pair of defensemen who shoot with the same handedness. It is tough for two left-handed, or right-handed players to play together on defense.
