PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — If you’re sick of the snow and cold, you’re not the only one.

Pittsburgh has had snow or rain 40 of the past 43 days and people in the region say they’re ready for warmer temperatures.

Officials at the national weather service say by the end of March we could see more than a 50-inch total of snow for this winter.

And although Pittsburgh is too far south of the Arctic Circle for residents to experience true Seasonal Affective Disorder, many people are just plain sick of the winter weather.

“I don’t like it, I hate it,” one woman said.

“Every winter, I would like to move to San Diego,” another woman said.

Although this winter hasn’t been as bad as 2010, it still has made an impact.

For this time of year, Pittsburgh has already had 10 inches of snow more than it usually does, according to NWS Meteorologist Fred McMullen.

McMullen says it hasn’t been as noticeable though, because the snow has falling in small amounts.

Psychologists say we’re just a few weeks away from the start of spring and to keep the “winter blues” away plan time to be with friends and stay away from sugar which can worsen depression.

Snow Expected Tuesday, Wednesday
