PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Investigators were called to the scene of deadly shooting Wednesday afternoon in Pittsburgh’s Friendship neighborhood.

The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. in the 5500-block of Penn Avenue.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 24-year-old Maurice Penny of East Liberty.

Officials say he was found dead in the entryway of an apartment building on Penn Avenue.

Police say there had been a shootout there.

Investigators found money strewn about the area, as well as shell casings.

Police continue to search for a suspect.
