Tight End Matt Spaeth Expected To Rejoin Steelers

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Free agent tight end Matt Spaeth is expected to sign a contract to rejoin the Steelers.

In the last two seasons with the Chicago Bears, Spaeth caught 13 passes for 78 yards and three touchdowns.

He left the Steelers following the 2010-11 season.

In four seasons with the Steelers, he totaled five touchdowns, including three in his rookie season.

Spaeth was a third-round pick of the Steelers in 2007.

He reached out to fans from his Twitter account Friday, saying: "I'm so lucky/blessed/happy to be rejoining #steelernation."
