Celebrations Planned For Mr. Rogers' Would-Be 85th Birthday

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -- This week marks what would have been Mr. Rogers' 85th birthday.

All week, United Way, as well as the Pittsburgh Children's Museum, will celebrate what would have been Mr. Rogers' 85th birthday this week.

David Newell who played Mr. McFeely on Mister Rogers will be at the museum Wednesday -- the actual day of Rogers' birthday. Admission is free for children and adults that day.

"If you've never been to the children's Museum, this is the best time to come and celebrate the life and work of Mr. Rogers," Newell said.

On Wednesday the Children's Museum is offering free admission. Mr. McFeely, will be available from 12:30 - 2:30 pm. Also, The Pittsburgh Division of the United Way will be celebrating Mr Rogers' Legacy with special events at Market Square that you can read about here.
