Former Coach Matt Doherty Has Pitt In Sweet 16

PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN)--The Pitt Panthers are set for their first round matchup against Wichita State in Salt Lake City on Thursday. To talk about the Panthers, and the NCAA Tournament, in general, the Fan Morning Show spoke to former North Carolina and SMU head coach, Matt Doherty.

Pitt may have dropped to an 8-seed, but Matt thinks that could actually help the Panthers.

"It all comes down to matchups," Doherty tells us, and the matchup that Pitt has in their section of the bracket works out well for them. "I have them beating Gonzaga and going to the Sweet 16."

He also gives us some potential upsets, and tips on how to not miss a second of the action on Thursday when you are at work.
