PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Allergy season may be starting early in other parts of the country, but with the recent cold weather, that may not be the case here.

A local allergist says when the trees do start to bloom, it will happen all at once – making allergy symptoms overwhelming.

This also gives people afflicted with allergies to start medication, if they haven’t already.

He advises keeping an eye on pollen counts and avoiding the outdoors on days the pollen counts are moderate to high.
