Errey Gives A Player's Perspective On The Winning Streak

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - If you hear the Penguins talk about their current 13-game winning streak, most of them will pretend like it doesn't even exist.

But Bob Errey joined Starkey, Miller and Mueller to tell us how players really feel about being on a streak like this.

Errey says players don't know a lot about the history of the NHL, so it's possible they don't know how close they are to the longest streak in league history.  We look back with Errey at the 1992-1993 Penguins and the 17-game winning streak they went on.

We also talk with Errey about the Brian Gionta play in Tuesday night's game in which Marc-Andre Fleury was injured.

"Let's put it this way, if Gionta wasn't there, there wouldn't have been an incident," he said. "Gionta's not a stranger to these kind of things. These kind of things follow him around, these mishaps."

Things wrapped up with Errey talking about the newest Penguin, Douglas Murray, and what he's going to bring to the team.
