Police Seek Security Guard Accused Of Trying To Run Down Former Friend
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A woman who works as a guard at the Allegheny County Jail is facing charges. Police say she’s accused of trying to run over a woman she knows with her car.
Jolene Anderson, 18, of Washington, Pa., calls the last 48 hours, two days full of pain, anger and fear.
“She just accelerated, and I flew on top and landed on the ground, smacked my face off the ground,” said Anderson.
According to police, she was intentionally hit by a car driven by Allegheny Jail guard Erica Williams. Police say after Williams hit the teenager, she then allegedly began to send threatening text messages.
“In this text she says: ‘Whoever hit you with that car was trying to kill you,’” said Anderson.
According the criminal complaint, the corrections officer sent texts stating: “You’re dead… (expletive)” and “RIP.”
The criminal complaint states Williams is charged with aggravated assault, attempted voluntary manslaughter, terroristic threats and criminal mischief.
Anderson: “She could have killed me.”
KDKA’s Marty Griffin: “Does she want to kill you?”
Anderson: “Yes, she does. She says she’s going to get a gun, shoot me. She’s going to shoot my boyfriend.”
In terms of motive, investigators believe Williams had some sort of relationship or friendship with Anderson that ended, and the corrections officer just couldn’t handle it.
According to police, she had every intention of killing Anderson with her car.
“She did it intentionally because me and her don’t get along,” Anderson said.
Police continue to look for Williams.
