Man Allegedly Kills Wife In Carroll Township
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are on the scene of a deadly shooting in Washington County.
It started around 4:15 a.m. on Walter Street in Carroll Township.
Neighbors were stunned, and say they woke up to see police running towards the home.
Police say 72-year-old Ronald Powell is accused of killing his wife, 62-year-old Leslie Powell. They say he called 9-1-1 and reported that he had shot his wife.
Neighbors say the couple didn't have any apparent marital issues, but the husband did struggle with some medical issues.
Powell is now in the Washington County Jail, charged with criminal homicide charges.
He is being held without bond.
