Public Affairs Professor Outlines What It Means To Be

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA)- After the firing of Pittsburgh City Police Chief Nate Harper and  Mayor Luke Ravenstahl announcing he will not run for re-election, Franklin & Marshall College Professor of Public Affairs Dr. G. Terry Madonna spoke with KDKA's Rob Pratte Saturday to discuss what it means to be Mayor of a city today.

Madonna said that a Mayor appoints officials and therefore must bear responsibility for any bizarre practices they commit.

He also said that the Mayor is not as central to the community's lives as their role used to be in the past.

Listen to Rob Pratte for Weekend Magazine every Saturday morning on NewsRadio 1020 KDKA.
