West Mifflin Shooting Suspect Identified

WEST MIFFLIN (KDKA) – Police have identified as suspect in a drive-by shooting that left a 17-year-old girl injured in West Mifflin on Sunday.

According to police, the shooting happened on Division Street around 1:16 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old girl lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound to the hip. She was transported to a local hospital, but her injuries are not considered life threatening.

Three vehicles were also damaged as the suspect fled the area.

On Monday, police issued an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Daniel Greer.

He is described as being an African-American male standing about 5-feet-seven-inches tall and weighing 150 pounds.

Greer was last seen driving a burgundy or red vehicle with front end and passenger side damage. The vehicle is also believed to be missing the passenger side mirror.

Greer is facing charges of aggravated assault, criminal attempted homicide and firearms violations.

He is considered to be armed and dangerous and anyone with information is asked to call police.
