PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – It has been four years, since three Pittsburgh Police officers were shot and killed in Stanton Heights.

Officials paid tribute to the fallen officers Thursday morning.

At 7:06 a.m., local departments broadcast a tribute to officers Eric Kelly, Stephen Mayhle and Paul Scuillo.

They were killed on this date in 2009 in Stanton Heights, when they responded to a dispute at Richard Poplawski’s house.

Poplawski has been convicted and sentenced to death for the killings.
