Bob Errey On Play Of Malkin This Year: "For Me, It's All About The Playoffs"

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Evgeni Malkin is averaging over a point a game during this shortened NHL season and there are some who still worry about his lack of production, especially with team captain Sidney Crosby sidelined with a jaw injury.

ROOT Sports Pens Analyst Bob Errey joined Starkey, Miller and Mueller and said you can count him among those who aren't worried about the reigning MVP's production.

"I'm not even concerned what he does during the regular season to be honest with you.  For me, it's all about the playoffs anyway," said Errey. "I remember driving home being so disgusted last year after the playoffs and saying to myself, nothing else matter until the Penguins get to the playoffs.  He'll be ready when the time comes."

Errey also talked with the guys about the impact of Crosby's injury and the need for Malkin to have a true left winger on his line.
